Terms of Service

1. The service
CareerVani is a career workspace available on the web and as an Android app. It generates resume content, cover letters, LinkedIn posts, interview practice material and feedback on your practice answers from information you provide; offers resume templates and PDF export; builds interview preparation plans; and provides job search and application tracking (currently in Beta). AI outputs are suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and verifying every output before you use it. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. No guarantees
We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, applicant-tracking-system scores, or any hiring outcome. AI models can produce inaccurate or incomplete text. Any decision you make using generated content is yours alone.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use CareerVani.
- You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for keeping access to it secure.
- One account per person. Accounts may not be shared, resold, or transferred.
4. Acceptable use
- Provide only truthful information about yourself.
- Do not attempt to bypass quotas or credit limits, create multiple accounts to obtain extra free usage, trials or referral credits, probe or attack our APIs, reverse-engineer the service, or resell access.
- Do not submit unlawful, deceptive, hateful or harmful content, or anyone else's personal data without their consent.
- Do not use the service to generate content that misrepresents someone's qualifications.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, without refund where the breach is material.
5. Plans, billing and fair use
- Free plan: includes one free AI resume (either a new resume or an uploaded resume tailored to a role), all resume templates, curated interview practice, and a limited number of AI section edits, LinkedIn posts, interview sessions, answer-feedback checks and other AI actions each day, plus one job search. Free PDF exports carry a watermark, and the Android app may show ads on the free plan.
- Premium: ₹99 per month or ₹499 per six months, billed through Razorpay as a recurring subscription until you cancel. Entitlements activate only after your payment is verified on our servers. Premium removes the PDF watermark and ads and raises daily limits.
- Free trial: new accounts may start one 7-day free trial of Premium Monthly. You authorise the subscription at checkout, Premium starts immediately, and the first ₹99 charge is taken when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. One trial per account, ever.
- Credits: credits let you go beyond a free daily allowance. They are granted, not sold: for example, when someone joins with your referral code (both accounts receive bonus credits) or, where offered in the Android app, for watching a rewarded ad (limited per day). Credits are used per generation at the costs shown in the app, have no cash value, and cannot be purchased, transferred, exchanged or refunded. We may change how credits are earned or used for future use.
- Fair use: every plan includes per-feature daily caps that exist to keep AI costs sustainable and to prevent automated abuse. Current caps are shown on our pricing page and in the app. Daily limits reset at midnight UTC.
- Price changes: current prices are always displayed in the app before purchase. Changes apply to future billing periods, never retroactively.
- All prices are in Indian rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
6. Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel a Premium subscription at any time from your profile. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. If you cancel during a free trial, no charge is made.
- Refund window: if you are unhappy with Premium, email us within 7 days of the charge and we will refund it, provided you have used no more than 3 generations in that billing period.
- Approved refunds are returned through Razorpay to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 working days.
- To request a refund, email support.careervani@gmail.com from your account email address.
7. Job Search (Beta) and third-party listings
- Job Search is a trial feature that is still being developed. Results may be incomplete or out of date, and searches may be rate-limited or temporarily unavailable.
- Job listings come from third parties, currently Adzuna, and from the employers who post them. We do not verify, endorse or control listings, employers or their hiring decisions. Always check the employer's own listing before applying.
- CareerVani never applies to jobs on your behalf. Match rankings and AI shortlists are suggestions, not assessments of your eligibility.
- Genuine employers do not ask for payment to interview or hire you. Do not pay anyone for a job you found through CareerVani.
- Scheduled searches and job alerts are a Premium feature and stop if Premium ends.
8. Notifications and voice typing
The Android app can send job alerts and practice, challenge, interview-prep and weekly-recap reminders. Reminders are optional and can be turned off in the app or in your device settings. Voice typing uses your device's or browser's speech recognition service, which is provided by a third party (such as Google on most Android phones) under its own terms; check any dictated text before you use it.
9. Your content
You retain all rights to the content you provide and to the outputs generated for you. You grant us a limited licence to process your inputs through our AI provider solely to deliver the service to you. We do not use your content to train models and we do not sell it.
10. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. Features, templates, models and limits may change as the product evolves. During periods of exceptional demand, generation may be temporarily throttled to protect service costs; a failed generation never consumes your quota or credits.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Our Privacy Policy explains what is removed and how to request erasure of anything that remains. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.
12. Liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities, or lost employment, or for the content of third-party job listings. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will revise the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
